About Us

Ruffy Brook Simmentals is a family owned operation located in Northern Minnesota. We started breeding Simmental genetics in 1973. We have used AI breeding heavily since we begin using Simmental genetics. We joined the ASA in the 1970’s and were given the ASA # 41228. We sell bulls and heifers on the farm by private treaty. The majority of our cattle calve in the fall and also have some calving in the spring. Our goal is to provide genetics for the commercial and purebred breeders. We strive for moderate framed cattle that are structurally sound and select for calving ease, performance, fertility, maternal traits and phenotype.
